This is an 1880s village Baluch rug with flat weave Kilim edges. In excellent condition. It features old world wool and is simply delicious with it's jewel toned colors. It is a hand knotted wool rug and it is on wool foundation. Everything here is organic, real and with all natural dyes. Typically, Baluch rugs do not come this large. They are usually around 2x3 or 3x4 and the nomads would weave and travel with them or use them for shade.
The colors vary with every angle pictured here on this rug. The rug has been captured outdoor at sundown and will be undoubtedly darker when inside the home.
This is an old village rug, Baluchi tribe members hand weaved this amazing piece, and Baluch rugs stand out to collectors and rug enthusiasts for their distinct look and rarity. They have become more and more sought after as an admired pieces of history.
