This is a very rare and gorgeous antique Chi Chi and quite a bargain! It is a super old and primitive scatter rug from 19th century, Caucasus mountains. It has an all over pattern in the field and is very nicely timeworn. With lots of borders to accent, it shows off phenomenal framing and style.
It is thin, lightweight and with the amazing color ways. It would be a great addition to add a lot of history to a home or office. Look at those multiple borders! Divine.
This is a hand woven rug made with vegetable dyed wool from circa 1860/1870.
This Chi Chi has some wear and tear. We left the rug as a virgin, but we can patch and secure it from the underside if you'd like as it has a few minor holes.
