This is a gorgeous, hi sheen, in excellent condition antique Malayer. It is made with high quality wool that was naturally dyed with vegetables, plants and mineral sources 100 years ago. It has amazing abrash that gives the rug even more character and charm.
This rug is exceptionally soft compared to many others and folds like a napkin. The wool has a luxurious feel and the 5 lane borders are exquisite, highly detailed and intricate in design. The madder red field is filled with an all over pattern of paisleys also known as boteh. We love this rug!
