Worn and earthy, this Persian Hamadan from the 1930s has beautiful charm and history. All the dyes are natural, woven with vegetable dyed wool. There is beautiful abrash (variation of dyes) throughout the rug.
We love the border design that is light and bright. The field of this rug has what is technically known as Herati design, aka water garden design. If you notice it, there are fish and flowerheads that repeat in pattern.
