This beautiful antique 1920s Persian from the village of Mahal has a wonderful allover design with large scale motifs and it’s artwork will make styling very easy. A fantastic ornate botanical theme featuring colors such as ivory, Aegean blue, steel blue, navy blue, dark hunter green, walnut brown, tan, moss green, espresso brown, apricot and more against a rust red will provide drama and interest to any room. Highly decorative border bands in more calming tones frame this lovely rug perfectly.
This beauty has a flexible wool handle and was handwoven with wool that was dyed with natural resources, such as vegetables, flowers, and plants. There is a lot of scattered wear, especially into the border area. Please see pictures for character and condition of this rug.
