A unique size and rug!
A perfectly worn antique wool runner, hand knotted circa 1880. It is a super hard to find size, long and wide!
This is a Mashad rug, with an all over Herati (fish design) pattern. We believe this was custom made long ago for a Masjed because of the width and length, and people took to it to pray. This rug on commission took years to produce and it comes from the most religious part of the world. It has a beautiful look and color ways of cream, ivory n blue, and a character naturally earned through time. Nothing here is synthetic. A great piece of history for the home and at great value. This is an old world hand knotted fine Oriental rug. It's wool was dyed naturally with vegetables, plants, flowers and roots. It is extended at exceptional value vs brick and mortar price. It is in excellent shape for its age and secured on all edges.
