This is an antique Malayer from the 1920s, from the Hamadan district. The area to which this runner was hand woven is one of the rug epicenters. This rug is low pile and is on an indigo blue backdrop.
It features geometric elements with color ways including madder red, dijon yellow, ivory, tan, calm tangerine and even some baby pink.
Hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool.
Nothing synthetic about this old rug!
