Paisley heaven over here in an antique Persian runner that locks in so much age! From the late 19th Century, this beauty sits on a deep indigo blue ground and has scattered wear.
It is a Malayer from the Hamadan region in Persia. The wool is high quality that was dyed naturally with vegetables, plants, roots and flowers. There is nothing ever synthetic of antique rugs like this one. It has aged beautifully through time. It is very durable and has centuries to go.
Malayer is a village in Northwest Iran and is known to have produced really decorative rugs that are great investments for a home which have become wildly popular and with good reason!
