From the region of Caucasus, this antique vegetable dyed wool rug embodies great style, geometric and bold design. It was hand knotted circa 1880. These rugs are considered rare and many like to collect them, having been produced from expert dyers and weavers.
The rug features two cloudband designs it its field. This rug is in very worn condition. All natural wear through time (see pics), parallel to age and history. The area that has loss to foundation has been patched from the underside to keep the the rug going for generations more.
