This is an antique Northwest Oriental rug, just look at its gorgeous character! It was hand knotted in the 1920s and it is in great condition with all beautiful and natural wear earned through its life of over 100 years. The old world wool was hand dyed with natural, vegetable dyed wool.

Now let's talk art and design. This rug will surely add instant decor to any space and a great deal of history as well. The rug embodies rust colors with abrash and indigo blue. The floral art work is all over with 3 large medallions beautifully woven into the field of the rug. The borders feature boteh, also known as sprouting seeds or paisleys (a sign of rebirth and growth in nature). They happen to be a favorite motif of the antique rug weavers,

At the finer levels like this one, we appreciate so much the weavers having drawn on a large pool of designs, investing much originality in their creation of this beautiful carpet.

We are happy to extend this treasure at a a super fair deal for the history, art and value of this antique Persian.
