Regular price $540.00

STEAL DEAL!! This darling 1880s Persian Baluch scatter rug is hand woven with wool and it will add charm in the perfect way without breaking the bank. The dyes you see are all organic from plants, fruits and vegetables that were the natural resources used and acquired for color.

This small rug's color ways are earthy and it owns some symbolic tribal elements throughout. What you see in the field are sweet paisleys, which are meaningful to the weavers as they represent "the seeds of life".

The nomadic Baluchi people still live in black tents as they did hundreds of years ago and they are pretty much isolated from the modern world.  Their rugs woven took months to complete and to this day are used in their simple households, or kept as insurance against hard times.

This can be used as an entry rug on the floor, or art hung on the wall. It can also be used on a table as a decorative and old, soulful item. Baluch rugs stand out to collectors and rug enthusiasts for their distinct look and rarity. They have become more and more sought after as an admired pieces of history.
