3'1 x 3'1 Square Kazak rug #2445 / small vintage rug

Regular price $0.01

This little treasure is an absolute gem. From circa 1870/1880, this is a very powerful scatter rug that is square and rare. From the Caucasus mountains north of Persia, a nomadic woman wove this piece and it stands out because of its size and shape that is hard to come by. It is filled with tribal elements, motifs and of course symbolism.

Low pile, worn and true, this piece has soft wool and sits on a wool foundation. It folds up like a handkerchief and is undoubtedly a small collectible rug.

Handwoven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.

A custom cut rug pad will ship on the house to keep this old baby nice and snug.
