A special scatter rug from circa 1880 that belonged to one person who most likely wove it and carried it with himself or herself daily as it is a symbolic prayer rug for his or her prayer rituals. It features a Mihrab on the art, and when praying, this rug would be facing the Mecca. 

All natural, vegetable dyed wool. It was originally woven in the Caucasus mountains, north of Persia. This prayer rug is worn and 100% wool with a soft and floppy handle.

 

This rug will ship with a custom cut pad on the house to help keep this old beauty nice and snug.
