The design carries a loose, relaxed Malayer rhythm we love. Floral forms, curling vinery, and other botanical elements move through the center with a slightly offbeat hand. Nothing stiff or overly perfect here, and that’s what’s to love about it. It’s OLD and woven without a sketch to follow.
The vegetable dyed wool has pop, especially where the saturated dyes shift and deepen across the field. Low pile throughout with a sturdy, durable build that’s ready for actual living. Hallway, kitchen, bedside, entry…this one can absolutely take traffic. And she’ll be passed down yet again. A multi generational Persian, punched out and ready to serve and love.
And the handle on this rug is equally as great. Supple, luxurious wool that folds and drapes exactly the way an old Persian village rug should. The kind of piece that feels soulful the second you pick it up.
