This antique Persian Malayer carries that village energy and it's SO attractive. Every inch of it feels alive with movement and decoration. There’s an oasis-like composition sitting right in the middle of the field…ivory, navy and aqua blue, teal green, soft and warm tan, walnut brown, and little flickers of peachy-orange, flashing here and there, giving it a warm embrace.
The border work is packed with tribal flower motifs and angular shapes that frame the entire composition and with same color story as the field. The larger, open ivory sections within the field let the darker saturated blues breathe. It really has that perfect balance of graphic and grounded.
Woven with vegetable dyed wool and showing a low pile with beautiful age throughout. Excellent condition with secured ends and sides…clean and fully floor ready. Durable too. Throw this into an entry, kitchen, office, bedroom, layered over sisal…doesn’t matter. It’ll completely wake the room up the second it lands.
