With mesmerizing tree of life art, signed by a master weaver on the top border, this antique rug is from the holiest city in P E R S I A. It's a Mashhad rug, and it was woven in the late 19th Century.
This spirited rug is quite distinct and features dragons and pomegranates. It is one of the special ones in the collection. This wonderful work of art has truly beautiful, aged natural dyes. We have a shot of the rug with it a portion of its underside to show you its old, original, vegetable dyes. What a remarkable rug with a story to tell.
