There is a lot to love in this Persian Kurdish, featuring the classical Boteh pattern all throughout the ivory ground field. Boteh is also known as a flame element and many say it represents the "seeds of life", aka, "fertility". This piece is from circa 1880, low pile and woven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool. It's a great pick at amazing value for an old world rug and it'll definitely add a great deal of history and decor.
