If you like 'em shabby chic, here's one that will rock your world. Woven circa 1920, this timeworn Persian shows off its age beautifully and has centuries more love to give. Featuring a Herati design, also known as water garden design...you can spot the fish on the field and the pattern surrounding flower heads. The ivory borders frame the rug well to the darker ground field that features a great deal of abrash with streaks of areas that have dark brown to the other areas of deep indigo blue. It represents the various lots of naturally dyed wool used to weave this rug.
This rug is worn, but fully intact and ready to go! It comes from the village of Malayer and these are rugs we love to find and collect!
