With luxurious and floppy wool, a deep watermelon ground and a superb color combo, this Persian village rug really grabs hearts. At a size of 8'3 x 13', this playful 1920s rug commands attention and has such delicious and deeply saturated dyes.
With its spacious design, you can take in the beauty and art of each floral spray and motif woven. The border is irresistible with sky and lake blues beaming with its lanolin rich wool. If you notice, one part of the border has a total change in the batch of wool the woman used to weave, from the darker blue she used all along one side of the border to the sky blue and then back to the darker blue. It really draws you in. From the region of Mahal, these wonderful rugs feel pretty soft to the touch and this one definitely has some sheen to the wool you'll love looking at.
Low pile, with scattered wear. Please see pics for full character and condition. This Persian is naturally worn through time and is fully intact, washed and ready for its next chapter of life.
