This wonderful and skinny vintage runner rug is a late 19th Century custom piece and it comes from a larger masterpiece antique rug that one of our clients once owned. It is Persian from the region of Lavar. This piece is a fabulous runner remnant created with perfect binding and hand finished details. With the rug initially coming in with some damage beyond repair, we decided to preserve this 19th Century rug by giving it new life with new shape and size and now it can live on and be cherished. Since skinny rugs tend to be in demand for those pesky narrow hallways or an area that needs to be slim, we made this custom size.
The rug is naturally aged and distressed, it's character earned through time. It has curvilinear art that are common for Lavar Persian rugs. It is on a warm sand ground and is with 100% vegetable dyed wool.
