Although this beauty is a bit battered and bruised, it illustrates the idea of a full life lived so beautifully with character and charm earned over time. Ecru and stone colors provide a neutral ground for the pops of midnight blue, crimson, and touches of rose red colors throughout this delightful rug. An ornate and curvilinear central medallion takes center stage with a fish design set in midnight blue with four points of field with nature-inspired motifs surrounding it.
The masculine energy conveyed by the bulls give this lovely rug a noble feel. The main border contributes a unique play on decorative motifs in the midnight blue, crimson, and rose red colors balanced by the neutral ground. The open and spaciousness feel of this endearing rug will enhance any room it occupies.
With soft to the touch wool, it was hand-woven in Turkey, circa 1930. Although there are spots with missing wool, it does not take away from the charm and character of this rug and only seeks to enhance it.
