About Blue Parakeet Rugs

Hello there, I'm Sheba Khodadad, and I built this shop from the ground up, one rug at a time.

Every piece you see here was found by me personally. I scour, I fetch, I haul, I do it all. I deeply respect and care for these old souls. I wash and sometimes, I rehab or restore them. Then I photograph every inch of each rug, write the listings (sometimes into the wee early morning hours), pack up every rug order with care, and send it back out into the world. Packing and deploying rugs is a big part of my rug life, and I manage every single one. Every single bit of this biz that feels like a hobby...I am hands on down to every detail.
