This amazing antique 1920’s flat weave Kilim Senneh rug has a wonderful intricate and refined small-scale pattern, which makes it very easy to style and enjoy. A marvelous array of colors in rose red, blush pink, ivory, navy blue, and buttery rich yellow dazzles the eyes with its artistic impact. It truly is an amazing composition to behold.
The pops of buttery yellow and the zipper-like pattern of some of the borders is phenomenal as a contrast to the main field and frames the Kilim beautifully. Some variations with the blue in the borders are due to the change in the batch of dyed wool used, which makes this a unique and a one of a kind rug.
Handwoven with wool that has been dyed with organic materials, such as vegetables, plants, and flowers, it is in excellent condition. With that said, it should not be placed in a high traffic area due to the flat weave nature of this piece. This beauty will bring a wonderful spirit to any space it is placed in.
If purchased, a rug pad will be shipped with it to keep it wiggle free.
