At a commanding size and with a rich berry red ground, this antique Persian Sarouk is a proper room-defining piece... the kind you build around.
Woven in the 1930s, she comes dressed with saturated vegetable dyes and her field is alive with an all-over floral vine design...bouquets and blossoms unfurling in navy, golden yellow, and soft ivory, reaching every corner without a single breath of empty space. The wide navy border frames it all like a painting that knows exactly how grand it is.
She's sturdy and stout, good bones, as they say, and with some scattered wear that only adds to her story. A true antique with a century of character and plenty of life left to give. This beauty is heavy and can take on all the abuse you give it, ready to live for generations more.
