This 1940s vintage handwoven rug on a fiery orange ground with a myriad of wonderful colors/dyes is low pile with coarse knotting, woven in the rugged NW mountains of Persia. It owns a sophisticated geometric design and powerful medallions in its field. It comes from a village in Heriz region, a small and isolated place, with unpaved roads.
This geometric and tribal rug was woven with vegetable dyed wool rug is in great condition, especially considering its age. Durable and able to take on all the abuse you give it! Will ship with a custom cut rug pad on the house to keep it put.
