This piece is from the early 1900s and it's a Mashhad rug, from NE Persia, the holiest city of the country. It is worn to perfection and comes in a skinny size, which we know is popular by demand. This beauty was part of a larger rug that had been damaged and we created a perfect little runner that likely captures your heart and attention.
Diving into the details, look at the amazing sunburst medallion tucked away in one corner and the larger scale floral motif along one side...we strategically created this piece and it is so pleasing how the art is framed. We had the side edges bound by hand and its ready to go, freshly bathed and in good shape.
