This is a Malayer from the Hamadan region. The wool is high quality that was dyed naturally with vegetables, plants, roots and flowers. There is nothing ever synthetic of antique rugs like this one. The edges are all bound and ready for another century of life.
Malayer is a village in Northwest Iran and is known to have produced really decorative rugs that are great investments for a home which have become wildly popular and with good reason!
