Antique Persian worn to perfection on a coral-melon ground. It features geometric paisleys throughout the field and has all natural, vegetable dyes in sea foam green, ivory, indigo blue and more. This old runner was woven by a woman circa 1900 and features a sequence of floral art in the ivory border, and a fence of security on the edge guard, all elements that are symbolic and meaningful to the weavers. The runner has a low wool pile on a cotton foundation, with a nice sturdy handle. Please see pics up close for full character and condition.
