This antique Persian runner, woven with naturally dyed wool exude colors with depth and brilliance by the skilled hands of the Kurdish tribe. It's adorned with a border boasting an array of blue and teal hues, exhibiting sensational abrash. The contrasting shades of blue frame the main field of powerful poled medallions perfectly. It is undoubtedly a nomadic masterpiece that enchants with its mesmerizing pattern.

Woven by artisans deeply connected to their land, the wool for this runner originates from the weaver's own flock of sheep in the Kurdish mountains. Using primitive looms, she meticulously wove this rug, gathering natural resources such as plants, roots, and vegetables to dye her family's sheep's wool and infused it with vivid hues. The wonderful art and pattern in the field is fascinating to the eyes. This runner from circa 1920 was woven with a wool on a wool foundation and showcases great craftsmanship. If you look at the ends of the rug, you'll see the beauty of the raw sheep's wool. 

Despite its age, this antique runner remains in remarkable condition, boasting a low pile with only minor scattered wear. Truly a timeless treasure and heirloom.
