4'4 x 6'10 Antique Persian Ferahan Sarouk rug #2578ML / 4x7 vintage rug

Regular price $0.01

This gorgeous 1920s vegetable dyed wool rug is a real treat to behold because it is an antique Persian Ferahan Sarouk, which is considered to be a finer Persian rug than other Persian rugs from other regions. It has been tightly woven with a higher grade of fine wool that was generally used for rugs commissioned for the wealthy elite.

At the center, a lovely botanical themed medallion catches the eye with its midnight blue ground, which can appear as charcoal gray to the naked eye. An amazing color story, with the juxtaposition between the midnight blue and the ivory ground surround with touches of coral, French blue, pale yellow, and tan in the intricate meandering foliage and blooms would complement any space in need of a bit of elegance. The beautiful French blue corner spandrels add a whimsical charm to the overall feel of this fantastic rug.

This beauty has a low pile and a sturdy foundation. The fine wool was dyed using organic materials, such as vegetables, plants, and flowers.

Low pile. Please see pics for full character and condition.
