7x10 Antique Salmon ground Heriz rug #3071

Regular price $0.01

Introducing a magnificent antique Persian Heriz rug from the 1920s, handwoven with the durable, quality vegetable dyed wool from the Northwest mountains of Persia and on an amazing wild salmon ground. This rug boasts a rectilinear design pattern with ornate and decorative tribal motifs, offering a bold and striking visual appeal. The intricate border band in space blue features the turtle motifs, adding an extra layer of detail and sophistication to this already exquisite rug.

The use of wool from the region surrounding Mt Sabalan, with its copper-rich water, provides a more-durable and resilient quality of sheep's wool. As a result, this rug is incredibly sturdy and has withstood the test of time, displaying only scattered wear that is parallel to its age and history. This beauty has a lot of character, making it a perfect foundation piece for any room.

The rich and unusual ground color really makes this Heriz stand out from the crowd

Low pile. With scattered wear.
Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
