9x11 Antique Navy Blue Persian Heriz Rug #3014

Regular price $7,900.00

In the NW region of Persia, there sits a tribal village among the rugged mountains called Heriz, where rug weaving traditions have been passed down from generation to generation. This eye-catching antique 1920’s Persian Heriz rug is a testament to the skillful craftsmanship of the women that sit at the loom and create these amazing works of floor art.

As though gazing out at a darkened pool of water, the navy-midnight blue ground recedes as graphic and highly stylized botanical motifs fill the field and dazzles the eyes. The playful and whimsical border dressed in rust with whimsical floral art of flower, stem and petal motif has a very playful and darling movement.

Handwoven with wool that has been dyed with organic materials, such as vegetables, plants, and flowers, the color ways of this gorgeous rug provide great depth and character. This beauty has a low pile and is in excellent condition. Anywhere this fabulous rug is placed will bring energy, sophistication, and timeless style, elevating that space to be unforgettable.

Low pile, handwoven with vegetable dyed wool. With scattered wear, parallel to age and history. Exact size 9 x 11'2.
