Skinny Vintage Runner #3247 / 2'8 x 7'9 Persian Runner

Regular price $1,850.00

This charming. skinny and worn Persian runner, dating back to the 1880s, boasts a charmingly weathered appearance, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and beauty of another era. Woven in the NW mountains with wool dyed from natural sources, it shows off its aged character authenticity and amazing symbolism.

It is adorned with a boteh motif throughout the field, representing the 'seeds of life' and 'fertility', and within these motifs are intricate floral and petal patterns. The border, featuring a delightful floral design against an aqua blue backdrop, adds a touch of great pop and fun to its overall allure. Perhaps one of the great perks of this old treasure is its skinny width, as they are hard to find when it comes to antique runners.

While this runner has a lot of life left, it is best suited for areas with low to moderate foot traffic, as its age warrants it to be looked after. It is low pile and will clean up easy if you ever want to give it a wash as well. The ground color has a dusty cantaloupe melon-clay hue. Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
