This wonderful antique 1930s nomadic rug with a Bokhara design will bring a bit of character and uniqueness to a space. The central field with its intricate linear all-over pattern looks like lattice work at first glance, but at closer inspection will show you beautiful motifs that are known as Gul design aka elephant feet motifs that pop against the navy blue ground. The multiple intricate borders are a nice juxtaposition to the ornamental pattern of the Bokhara design.
Handwoven with wool dyed from natural materials, such as vegetables, plants, and flowers, this lovely rug has a fabulous color story that will be easy to style. It has a low pile and there is some scattered wear giving it a shabby chic feel. This beauty will add charm, elegance, and a welcoming spirit to any room it lives in.
