It's battered and bruised and just how some LOVE it!
This tribal Heriz was woven in the slopes of Mt. Sabalan of Northwest Persia and with all natural vegetable dyed wool. It took some years and multiple weavers to produce this room size piece. The character of this rug is truly evident, showing off its age (woven circa 1920) and larger scale medallions throughout. Low pile, heavily worn, but fully intact. Ground color is navy and borders are dusty ruby.
