Oh, these neutral vibes! This is a very timeworn and old Oushak, from Turkey. These beauties are known generally for their grand scale nature of motifs and spaciousness in art and design. This old rug has coarsely woven old world wool, all natural dyes and it has definitely seen a lot of life. It was recently given some TLC and re-secured in areas that had loss of wool. It has areas of distress and some natural discoloration from use and history. With its great age of about 150 years, it is best for this wool rug to be in a non high traffic zone. It is 100% low pile wool on a wool foundation, so it has a floppy nature and we recommend a rug pad to keep it with grip.
