Unlike any other Heriz we have seen, this captivating and P E R S I A N has mesmerizing, rare form and tribal art that really speaks. With truly hypnotic design on a navy blue ground, it features all over geometric camel motifs that draw you in and keep you in wonder.
The highly stylized detail and intricate handwoven work that women wove 100 years ago was likely from memory; no sketches. Just hands on the loom from sun up until sun down and the result is this masterpiece that we can cherish today.
This P E R S I A N was woven with durable, coarse wool from the rugged NW mountains circa 1920. It is a diamond in the collection and far different from all of the other Heriz we have in shop. Simply put, it is the only Heriz ever collected with this unique art and design.
Low pile. All natural, vegetable dyes. In good condition and clean. One small area on the edge guard and fringes = the only spot showing slight loss of wool pile. Please see pic (right, bottom edge guard border).
