Here’s a large and in charge Persian Mahal rug with Mostofi design that is majestic with its presence, beautiful natural dyes that exhibit lanolin rich wool and extraordinary hand knotted work, woven circa 1920.

This type of art work incorporates European design with the field that is filled with an all over pattern of floral garlands, coiled leaves and rose bouquets. On a navy blue ground, this is a celebrated work of art from Persia that is popular to collect. It has a flexible handle and has superior wool with a looser weave that makes for a lovely, floppy handle.

Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool. Low-medium pile, scattered wear and in great condition for its age and extended at a great value.
