This fantastic antique 1920s Persian runner knows how to make an entrance and keep going. Almost 16 feet of handwoven charm, it features rows of outlined paisley motifs filled with “seeds of life,” running the entire length. But don’t get too comfortable because halfway through, the weavers pulled a fast one and switched up the colors entirely. It’s a total mood shift, on purpose, mid weave.
The wool is vegetable dyed and luminous, with a natural sheen that practically glows even in photos. Abrash throughout gives the rug that fingerprint feel, easy to recognize, impossible to replicate. The borders are lined with tiny square paisleys and dainty floral designs, like a finishing touch from someone who really cared about details.
