Woven of vegetable dyed wool and non-dyed camel hair, this powerful Persian runner offers a skinny waist and great length. From circa 1880-1900, its a village rug that was undoubtedly woven from the weaver’s own camel and sheep. It grounds you with its earthy color ways and the scattered wear shows off its great beauty and age.
This is a high quality Oriental (it means handmade) rug that is low pile, durable, and has at least another century of time for enjoyment. Please see detailed pics for character and condition. One area in middle of field has the most significant wear. It will be secured from underside with a patch, just to help with the rug’s protection & longevity.
