3'5 x 10' Worn Runner #3145

Regular price $1,335.00

Between the Black and Caspian Sea sits the Caucasus Mountains, where this amazing antique Kazak tribal runner was woven, circa 1880. A linear composition of dragon motifs, symbolizing the guarding of treasures, dominate the main field in an array of colors. Equally as charming are the guard-like border bands with a bit of abrash to make it a truly one-of-a-kind piece of floor art.

Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool, this fantastic runner has a floppy handle and a lovely color story that would complement most décor styles. It has been love worn and shouldn’t be placed in a high traffic area. With that said, this beauty brings a lot of history and symbolism with it and can have a grounding effect in a new home. Bring this fabulous rug into your home and let it bring style, character, and beauty to any space it resides in. Extended at a great value for a truly old, shabby chic rug and art that you can walk on. Will ship a rug pad on the house.
