This is an antique P E R S I A N from the 1920s. The area to which this runner was hand woven is one of the rug epicenters for highly decorative rugs known as M A L A Y E R. This rug is low pile used to actually be a bit longer! It was professionally reduced and is in great condition.
It features diamond medallions running down its field and amazing natural dyes that have gracefully aged.
Hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool.
Nothing synthetic about this old rug!
