4’5 x 6’1 Late 19th Century Haji Jalili Tabriz rug (#1288ML)

Regular price $0.01

An intricately woven Persians from the epicenter of rug weaving, this Tabriz is something super special.  This particular piece is from master weaver, Haji Jalili, one of the most celebrated and well known creators/weavers of all time.

These rare, in demand and respected pieces have extraordinary qualities; a very tight weave, the finest wool, and exquisite shades vegetable dyes that are not dominant with the deep reds and indigo blues that we often see in Persians. With the high knot density, we are able to see such articulate design and fine floral work and art that we cherish. We are proud to have it in the collection and while this is an investment level Persian we are extending it at a great value for a proven masterpiece.

This Tabriz Haji Jalili is low pile with superior wool and is in great condition for its age, woven circa 1880. Handwoven with wool that was dyed naturally with vegetables, plants, fruits and flowers.

We recommend a rug pad to keep this antique rug snug and protected. Add it on and we’ll custom cut it and send it along with your order:
