A great combo of rust and navy in this Persian Malayer rug from circa 1920…small in scale but packed with swagger.

The field is a dense little universe of geometric florals and tribal movement, grounded by inky navy that makes the rust tones pop like embers. And then there’s the border…hello turtle motifs (one of those collector details that feels like an inside secret once you see it).

Handwoven in vegetable dyed wool with that real-deal old rug texture…natural dyes gracefully softened with age, it’s low pile, and looking great. Nice condition overall, sturdy and ready to work, and will be perfectly fine in a high traffic area, so if you want to welcome your guests with this as an entry piece, that totally works. It’s a perfect anchor piece.
