Worn Vintage Persian Malayer Rug / 3’8 x 6’8 Rug #4510

Regular price $1,620.00

When you want old rug energy with a little grit and soul left in it…this Malayer delivers. Handwoven in the 1920s with vegetable dyed wool, it’s got that worn in shabby chic look people try very hard to fake, except this one earned every bit of it naturally over the last hundred years.

The moody maroon border frames a dark teal grounded field packed with tribal artistry, fish motifs, and those beloved turtle motifs floating through the border bands. The colors are rich and earthy but also has little shocks of pink that surprise us and the slate gray blue edge guard gives it even more depth and contrast.

Low pile throughout with one end showing more age and wear. This old village rug has a great deal of personality and depth. Some minor repairs have been done to ensure this little gem continues to serve. And despite the age and worn in character, the construction is still solid and sturdy enough to handle a busy lifestyle. An easy piece to throw into a space when you want warmth, history, and a rug that feels collected instead of manufactured yesterday.
