This 1930s Persian Gharajeh is firing on every cylinder. The electric French blue field punches against those deep cherry reds, ivory, espresso outlines, and bits of burnt saffron in a way that feels almost neon without losing its old soul. It has that graphic tribal energy Gharajeh (or sometimes spelled Karaja) people lose their minds over…stacked medallions, sharp geometry, and movement everywhere your eye lands. Truly geometric, tribal and graphic and EASY TO LOVE.
But it will love you even harder. The Wool? LOADED. Full pile throughout with healthy, plush vegetable dyed wool that still carries sheen and bounce. The handle is heavy and solid in the hands…dense, durable, and soft underfoot. This thing was built to survive life while still being ridiculously pretty. And this is why old rugs rule!
Between the rare blue ground, the condition, and the color mania happening throughout the field, it checks boxes a lot antique tribal rugs simply cannot.
