Woven by the master weaver Haji Jalili, this amazing antique 1900’s Persian Tabriz rug is a real gem. The arabesque style medallion draws the eye in with beautiful color ways in cool tones of slate blue, cocoa brown, ivory, and navy blue against a ivory-beige ground, which is unusual considering many Persian rugs are woven with red dominant colors.
Continuing the cool tones, meandering scrolls against a slate blue ground perfectly accents the medallion in the central field. The intricate border designs complement the openness of the central field and ornately surrounds it, giving it a charming appeal.
Finely woven with wool dyed with organic materials, such as vegetables, plants, and flowers. Although this adorable rug has been love worn, it has more life to live and will bestow a sense of calmness and peace in any space it is placed in. Please see up close pics for a better view of character and condition. We will ship a custom cut pad on the house to keep it wiggle free.
