A classic Persian with age and a royal touch! This 1920s piece in its grand size has quite pronounced traits and as you dive into this timeless piece, you'll sense the power it truly owns. The center medallion may be where your eyes land first, but that's just the starting point to this enchanting Persian. The motifs are quite defined and elaborate floral and botanical figures. Those scrolling floral vines are quite simply, exquisite.
This beauty is from one of the oldest centers of carpet weaving, from the 1920s, called Mashhad. The region is situated right on the ancient Silk Road.
Low pile, hand woven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool. In nice condition for its age, with light and gorgeous scattered wear. Btw, the ground colors you see that are dark are navy to midnight blue, not black. Thank you for checking this beauty out!
