Here’s an 1880's hand woven Kerman Lavar rug with a European feel and flowers that are forever. This antique Persian rug has earned its look and style through it 120 years of age, so if you like the your rug to tell a story, it is locked in here within each knot and you’re going to love it. This floral beauty from South of Persian loves with abundance and has a super fine weave, which results in highly detailed hand work. It is floppy, low pile and folds up nice and neat, like a napkin. 

On an antique ivory ground, you have gorgeous floral sprays, vines, palmettes, curling leaves, stems and fanciful patterns flanked throughout. When you really think about it, it looks like a floral shawl and it is noted that these Kerman have such influence and imagination woven in their rugs. It will surely make for a nice backdrop! 

All the natural dyes have a presence to them and include an incredible and attractive green, as well as coral, aqua-blue-teal, sangria, almond, light saffron yellow, and berry red among other colors. A great perk to this rug is its near square size. These are hard to spot as most come more traditional 9x12 or 8x10.   

This rug is low pile and worn. It has some small areas of wool loss and we will patch it from the back before it ships. Please see pics for up close details of condition.
