10'4 x 13'10 Antique 19th Century tribal rug (#1713ML) / 10x14 vintage Rug

This is a P e r s i a n tribal hand knotted rug from in the M a h a l province. Specifically, it comes from the city of Sultanabad, which are known as the oldest and highest quality M a h a l carpets. The field of this antique rug has amazing and articulate floral-geometric motifs dancing across the main field. If you've landed on this rug, you must be in love with the size for one thing and then the color palette going on here! The blues, the rust, the coral and green is mesmerizing.

The borders are exquisite in rust, creating a vivid contrast and magnificent juxtaposition. The brilliant rust border frames the main design, and gives it a great sense of proportion and space. Look closely and you'll see the various natural shades of blue and abrash in the field. This rug is a jackpot win for art, size, style and history. 

This P e r s i a n was hand knotted circa 1880, with all natural vegetable dyed wool. In great condition and we have plenty of pictures to show off this rug.
